Description:

Roman, Imperial period, ca. 4th century CE. A beautiful, hand-blown bowl made from translucent, pale-green glass. The bowl is defined by a slightly concave base and smooth pontil scar, tall, rounded walls, a deep basin, and a flared rim with a fire-polished lip. The exterior is adorned with 2 large and 18 small applied blue glass dots which, along with the faint rainbow-hued iridescence, imbue the vessel an elegant presentation evocative of ancient Rome. Size: 4.25" W x 3.6" H (10.8 cm x 9.1 cm).
