Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built terracotta female figure seated in a reclining position. She possesses a characteristically wide torso, an oversized visage, and attenuated limbs. Although she wears a skirt, her perky breasts are revealed. Otherwise she is attractively decorated by earspools, a choker, and a headband. Her face is expressive with wide open coffee-bean shaped eyes, a protruding pointy nose, and an open mouth as if singing, chanting, or praying. Size: 6.375" L x 5.25" W x 5.25" H (16.2 cm x 13.3 cm x 13.3 cm)
