Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran and Southeastern Turkey, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A heavy hemispherical copper bowl with a ribbed exterior. The bowl rests on a flattened base and the thick walls create a heft - perhaps to anchor this vessel and prevent spillage when holding libations or offerings in the tomb. Size: 5.3" Diameter x 3.75" H (13.5 cm x 9.5 cm)
