Description:

**Originally Listed At $400**

Ancient Near East, northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1000 BCE. A cast bronze openwork cage bell with a multi-bar form. At its top is a beautiful abstract bird finial that is perforated through the legs for suspension. The bell stands on three tiny feet on the underside of the cage. A small ovoid stone inside the bell allows you to shake it and hear a metallic sound. The openwork shape and delicacy of the bird are testaments to the skill of Luristan metalsmiths. Size: 2.4" W x 4.2" H (6.1 cm x 10.7 cm)
