Description:

American Indian / Canadian Northeast, Algonquin Tribes, ca. 18th century CE. Possibly the finest of this type we have ever handled! Wooden ladle carved from a burled piece of maple - with the lower ladle showing all the knots and "gnarls" which makes this wood so desirable, with tapering handle and small "head" at end of the handle. The wood has developed an exquisite, tactile patina that feels like butter in your hands. Custom stand available for small fee. Size: 9.75" L x 5.375" W (24.8 cm x 13.7 cm)
