Description:

Western Asia, Northern Persia, ca. 12th century CE. A beautiful example of a sgraffito bowl with a deep basin, a disc-shaped foot, and an interior glazed with beautiful deep green glaze on a creamy white background. This green glaze also encircles the exterior in a thick band below the rim. The interior features highly stylized birds and leaves in a regular pattern with stippled interiors. Size: 8.4" W x 3.95" H (21.3 cm x 10 cm)
