Description:

Pre-Columbian, Western Mexico, Protoclassic, Colima culture, ca. 100 BCE to 250 CE. Natural buff-brown pottery renditions of similar seated figures, each with a long hair lock diagonally across their chests. Characteristically protruding noses, round eyes with horizontal slits, broad shoulders, wide hips, and long legs give these figures a regal and commanding appearance. Both figures are seated upon wooden bases. Size of largest: 1.75" L x 3.125" W x 6" H (4.4 cm x 7.9 cm x 15.2 cm); 7" H (17.8 cm) on included custom stand.

  • Condition: One arm reattached on figure with arms folded, and one leg reattached on figure with arms at sides. Surface wear commensurate with age, with wonderful root marks and mineral deposits. A white circular sticker with the number 6 or 9 on back of each figure.
