Native American, Southwestern United States, Arizona, Ancestral Puebloan, Jeddito, ca. 1325 to 1600 CE. A hemispherical bowl with a warm beige hue and painted with linear and stepped motifs on interior and exterior- Jeddito ware are notable for the yellowish-quality of their white pigments as seen here. This bowl was constructed via the coil-and-scrape technique, painted with pigments that are iron-manganese based, hence the rusty-brown hue of the motifs. Size: 8" Diameter x 4" H (20.3 cm x 10.2 cm)
