This example exhibits rare expressiveness and character, and appears to be shown in the act of barking or panting, due to the fact that the mouth is prominently open and the tongue is protruding forward. A rare and special example of the type. Provenance: Acquired from a reputable Texas, USA auction house.   • Condition: Repaired clean breaks across the chest, and shoulders over the back, with relatively minor fill. Restoration to the tip of the right rear foot. Loss at the tip of the tail and the top of the right ear. Otherwise, weathering, wear, chipping and abrasions, with excellent Manganese and other mineral deposits overall.
