A finely carved rare stone axe/ax in brown basalt carved with human head to front end, rounded ax on other and repeating square nodes in center. Depicting a flying shaman with a beautiful facial expression, wearing a headdress in a stepped pattern. The body carved with a geometric design. Great patination with earthen deposits and mineral deposits. Size: 5.5" L x 3.75" W (14 cm x 9.5 cm); 5.875" H (14.9 cm) on stand
