East Asia, China, ca. early 20th century CE. A playful silver tea pot, of a petite size to hold just one cup of tea, with a charming squirrel finial on the top of its handle. Around the body, which is delightfully shaped like a pumpkin, there are nine different applied relief human figures. The body stands on a leaf-shaped foot and has a delicate spout projecting from one side. The handle is decorated with a wrapped wire decorated with four leaves. Silver quality: 43% silver. Size: 4.2" W x 5.75" H (10.7 cm x 14.6 cm); 148.6 grams
