Description:

Pre-Columbian, Panama, Gran Cocle, ca 500 to 800 CE. Very unusual example of the fabulous potteries that come from the Cocle region of Panama. The center design is so minimalist compared to many Cocle pottery pieces, but there is still something very compelling about it. It is almost like a Rorschach spot matted with a piece of cubist art. I see a shark, a couple of letter E's and a dinosaur with a puppy dog tail. Not sure what that says about me… Still a very interesting bowl that will elicit great conversation and debate! Size: 10" W x 3.25" H (25.4 cm x 8.3 cm)
