Description:

Northern Europe, Viking / Norse culture, ca. 800 to 1100 CE. A beautiful group of wearable bracelets, each created using only a single elongated strand of silver. Flattened terminals grace either end of the bands, and the mercurial coloration of the silver exudes a graceful old-world charm. While similar examples only display silvery tones inherent with the substantive material, one bracelet exhibits blue-green patina within the interior braids, and the other with pale rainbow-hued tones. A wonderful ensemble of Viking-era artistry! Size (largest): 3.125" W (7.9 cm); size of opening (largest): 0.625" W (1.6 cm); total weight: 76.6 gr.
