Northern Europe, Viking / Norse cultures, ca. 9th to 11th century CE. Two beautiful and exceptionally-crafted Viking-era silver bracelets. One has a solid composition with a thick midsection and slender nubbin-shaped terminals bent towards each other. A second cuff bracelet has a braided form comprised of a single thin strand of interwoven silver and flattened on both terminals. Small areas of green patina are visible on both bands; however, the majority of exposed surfaces displays the same original brilliant silver hue characteristic of fine Viking jewelry. These wearable examples of ancient Northern European accoutrements would be the talk of any social gathering! Size of largest (braided): 2.75" Diameter (7 cm).
