Mexico, 19th century CE. A pair of wax dolls, one male and one female, standing on a wooden base, both wearing wax-soaked garments. Both are Nacimiento figures from a creche. The man stands in bare feet, wearing a white shirt, trousts, and sombrero and carrying a serape on his shoulder. The woman also has bare feet and wears a yellow skirt, a turquoise neckace, and a scarf on her head. She holds ceramic pots on her back. Size of each: 5" W x 10.7" H (12.7 cm x 27.2 cm)
