Pre-Columbian, Ecuador to Columbia, Narino Highlands, ca. 1250 CE. A fine set of two hand-built pottery bowls with squat feet and hemispherical basins. The interior of one vessel features broad crosshatch-patterned panels that create a slender X from the beige-hued negative space, and the other bowl features two crosshatch panels with curved rectangular bars arching in-between. An attractive pair from ancient Ecuador. Size of largest (negative-space X): 5.75" W x 2.625" H (14.6 cm x 6.7 cm)
