A pleasing pair of paintings from a Persian manuscript: one showing a group of hunters on horseback and the other featuring the journey of a royal or nobleman surrounded by his entourage. Size of painting (both the same): 6.25" W x 9.25" H (15.9 cm x 23.5 cm); of frame (both the same): 13" W x 16.5" H (33 cm x 41.9 cm)

  • Condition: Both paintings are set behind glass in custom mattes and frames; have not been examined outside of glass. Some minor stains, but otherwise both are intact and very nice with good pigments and detail. Some nicks to frames that do not affect paintings. Each has suspension wire on verso for display, though wire on verso of hunting scene is loose.
