Argentina, early to mid-20th century CE. This is a trio of ethnographic artifacts, antique tea (mate) straws. Mate is a traditional South American infused drink prepared from steeping dried leaves of yerba mate. The length of each brass Bombilla (tea straw) is decorated with different designs. They were made by the Industria Mamboreta of Argentina, which is stamped on two of them; the third is missing its end. Size of largest: 7.8" L x 0.8" W (19.8 cm x 2 cm)
