Description:

Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Tairona, ca. 1000 to 1300 CE. A fabulous necklace composed from dozens of mottled greenstone seed-form beads as well as elegant, bullet-shaped vermilion-hued carnelian beads. Strung throughout the composition are 32 large bullet-shaped beads with drilled suspension holes which adorn the strands on either side of the smaller greenstone bullet pendant. Strung in modern times and capped with a modern French hook and loop combo, this is a lovely and wearable necklace! Size (necklace): 22.3" L (56.6 cm); size of largest bead (carnelian): 0.45" W x 0.9" H (1.1 cm x 2.3 cm).

Small nicks and light abrasions to some beads, and light pitting holes to some greenstone beads, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits within some recessed areas.
