Description:

Pre-Columbian, South Coast Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 to 600 CE. A hand-built pottery vessel with a round but stable base, an ovoid body with a gently sloped shoulder, and a bridged double-spout handle. The cream-slipped body presents with the Nazca abstract mythological feline deity and three sinuous serpents, each one emerging from the feline creature with heads that terminate just below the chin. All is delineated in a polychrome palette in shades of brick red, russet red, creamy beige, black, and white. Size: 3.875" W x 5.625" H (9.8 cm x 14.3 cm)
