Description:

**Originally Listed At $400**

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A charming hand-built and highly-burnished pottery vessel depicting a conjoined dog with two heads. The vessel rests upon four conical legs that extend upwards and become flush with the rounded body. A stylized and rather minimalist canine head projects from either side of the vessel with nubbin ears, slit-form eyes, and outstretched lips, with a short, flared spout resting in-between. Covered in red slip, this is an adorable example of utilitarian pottery from ancient western Mexico! Size: 9.125" L x 7" W x 6.25" H (23.2 cm x 17.8 cm x 15.9 cm).
