The figures depicted in Navajo sandpaintings tell a story of Navajo mythology depicting sacred mountains where the deities, legendary visions, or dances and chants performed during rituals.This sandpainting rug is called "Whirling Log" and depicts four sacred plants. It was created by weaver Marcella Fowler. It is comprised of commercial natural brown, grey, and white, commercial vegetal green, and commercial aniline rust wool. 72" x 72"
