Description:

**First Time At Auction**

Native American, ca. 20th century CE. A beaded whimsey wall hanging with a dangling tassel with a thimble and glass beads. The heart is made from cotton sewn over a cardstock shape, the friont face entirely beaded with a star and moon motif. These whimsical beaded pieces were sold as unique souvenirs and novelty items- it is possible this was just decorative, or perhaps this was a large holder for the thimble. There is a leather cord and a metal wire along the back for suspension / displaying this piece. Size of heart: 5" L x 4.5" W (12.7 cm x 11.4 cm); tassel adds 7" (17.8 cm)
