Description:

Pre-Columbian, Peru, Moche, Phase IV to V, ca. 500 to 850 CE. A wonderful pottery vessel in the form of a seated figure shown with legs drawn up to chest and hands on knees. Gazing outward from huge, heavy-lidded eyes, the figure wears discoid earrings, a cape, and a helmet-like headdress, while a tubular stirrup spout rises from the verso. A petite sack is hung over the figure's shoulder. Size: 7.1" L x 5.1" W x 8" H (18 cm x 13 cm x 20.3 cm)
