Description:

Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Moche V, ca. 600 to 800 CE. A pair of mold-made pottery figures with hollow bodies for use as rattles - the female figure still contains a pebble or ball inside that still emits some sound. One is painted with facial tattoos beneath the characteristic almond-shaped eyes that stare intensely forward. The other figure is female with genitalia and a somber expression. Size: 4" L x 2.5" W x 6.25" H (10.2 cm x 6.4 cm x 15.9 cm)
