Description:

Southeast Asia, Indonesia, ca. mid-20th century CE. A fine Indonesian kris replete with a forged carbon-steel blade with a projecting shoulder and a straight profile. The handle is carved from coffee-hued wood and boasts a pair of abstract anthropomorphic masks along the interior curve. A small silver-gold alloy guard rests between the handle and the blade shoulder. The chestnut-hued wooden scabbard has a lobed shoulder guard, a tapering profile, and a removable nickel-silver jacket. Size: 4.875" W x 14.875" H (12.4 cm x 37.8 cm); size (blade): 8.25" L (21 cm).
