Western Europe, probably England or Spain, Medieval period, ca. 12th to 14th century CE. A large iron spearhead with a lengthy cylindrical socketing shaft. The blade is petaloid shaped with gently rounded shoulders that taper to a pointed and sharp tip. The blade is flat and could certainly pierce armor or skin quite easily. An intimidating piece of medieval weaponry! Size: 14.5" L x 2.125" W (36.8 cm x 5.4 cm)
