Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A mold-formed pottery jar of a broad, inverted piriform body with a convex base, a carinated upper body, and a thin rim surrounding a deep basin. The shoulder of the orange-hued vessel is incised with intricate curvilinear motifs that create a feathered or winged presentation. Size: 6" W x 6.3" H (15.2 cm x 16 cm)
