Pre-Columbian, El Salvador, Maya, Copador, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A beautiful pottery bowl of stable, hemispherical form with stone-burnished exterior surfaces and a slightly in-folded rim. The orange-ground exterior is adorned with a trio of monkeys playing with a set of red balls, and above them is a register of elaborate pseudo-glyphs. Size: 7.29" Diameter x 3.7" H (18.5 cm x 9.4 cm)

    Condition:
  • Stabilization to a couple small fissures stemming from rim, with light adhesive residue visible along break lines. Minor abrasions, with a couple of additional fissures along rim, and light fading to pigment, otherwise in great condition. Great preservation to exterior motifs.
