Eastern Africa, Madagascar, early to mid-Triassic period, ca. 252 to 220 million years ago. A massive and gorgeous slab of fossilized or petrified tree trunk, sliced crossways and highly polished on both planar faces to showcase the gorgeous coffee, cream, tan, beige, sand, and taupe hues. Inlaid within the middle of the slab is a gathering of crushed turquoise stones with some larger pieces, and the surfaces have been polished to create an attractive luster. Size: 0.875" L x 14.25" W x 18.5" H (2.2 cm x 36.2 cm x 47 cm); 16" H (40.6 cm) on included custom stand.
