Description:

Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A set of 2 cast-bronze weapons from ancient Luristan. First is a spear tip with perforated fins as well as a thick midrib that courses to the sharpened tip. The larger armament is a short sword with a thick tang, pointed fins, and a dramatically narrow blade. The spear tip would have been mounted to a long wooden pole while the short sword would have had a thick grip adhered to the tang. Size of largest (short sword): 16.375" L x 1.8" W (41.6 cm x 4.6 cm)
