Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A cast-bronze ibex figurine standing atop slender legs that are fused in the center. The creature exhibits a large rump and a raised head bearing a fused pair of backward-curved horns. Size: 1.4" L x 0.6" W x 1.7" H (3.6 cm x 1.5 cm x 4.3 cm); 2.125" H (5.4 cm) on included custom stand.
