Description:

Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A cast-bronze dagger of relatively lengthy form with a slender handle. The deft blade features sharpened edges and a gradually tapering midrib while the lunate pommel forks at the center to create a winged profile. The surfaces are covered in layers of naturally-occurring patina that exhibit fine green and brown hues. Size: 14.375" L x 1.375" W x 1.25" H (36.5 cm x 3.5 cm x 3.2 cm)
