Description:

Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Tuza Complex, Narino, ca. 750 to 1500 CE. A hand-built and highly burnished bowl with a footed base, wide walls, a shallow basin, and a thick rim. The exterior of the vessel is covered in a clear glaze that preserves the buffware color, and the basin surface boasts alternating panels of red-orange squares or cream-hued squares filled with either three, four, or five rings. Size: 6.3" W x 2.2" H (16 cm x 5.6 cm).
