Pre-Columbian, Colombia, Middle Cauca region, Middle Cauca Complex, ca. 800 to 1500 CE. A fabulous gathering of mold-formed pottery spindle whorls, each with a discoid body and a protruding cylindrical socket. Finely incised striations create gorgeous linear, stippled, and circular motifs that are brought forth against the red or brown grounds with white pigment. Size of largest: 2" W x 1.125" H (5.1 cm x 2.9 cm).
