Pre-Columbian, Central America, Panama, Gran Cocle culture, ca. 800 to 1000 CE. A fine gathering of five hand-built pottery vessels. The smallest vessel has a spherical body, petite ring handles, and a trio of looped feet. The second vessel is a pedestal dish with a wide basin and narrow slits carved into the foot. The third vessel has a spherical body with three loop legs as well as a pair of abstract zoomorphic creatures along the shoulder. The two largest vessels have similar forms - spherical bodies atop loop legs with an abstract anthropomorphic face beneath the flared rim - with the second-largest having a carinated midsection, and the largest with a smooth midsection. Size of largest (face vessel w/ smooth midsection): 5.4" W x 6.9" H (13.7 cm x 17.5 cm).

- Condition: Smallest vessel and larger vessel with carinated midsection have repairs to legs, with small chips and light adhesive residue along break lines. Each item has minor nicks and abrasions to legs, body, and rim, with light encrustations, a couple of stable hairline fissures, and softening to some finer details. Light earthen deposits throughout.
