Native American, Northwestern United States, Alaska, Beringian / Old Bering Sea Culture, ca. 200 BCE to 1000 CE. An ensemble of 5 harpoon tips carved from fossilized walrus ivory. Each has a drilled string hole as well as narrow slits for inserting removable blades. All but one of the harpoon tips are incised with delicate linear motifs. Size of largest: 4.25" L x 0.8" W (10.8 cm x 2 cm)

This is a pre-Act piece of walrus ivory under the MMPA and cannot be sold internationally or to anyone residing in the states of California, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, and Washington. We guarantee that the piece was made prior to 1972.
