Northern Greece, Thrace, Iron Age, ca. 7th century BCE. A stunning ensemble of four matching bracelets with thick terminals and circular bodies, each formed from nearly-pure (99%) silver. The terminals of each bracelet rest parallel to one another, their exterior surfaces adorned with hammered zigzag motifs as well as circle-tipped zigzags along the shoulders. Two of the bracelets are oriented in a clockwise direction, and the other two spin in a counterclockwise manner. An incredible set of wearable ancient jewelry! Size of each (all are relatively similar): 3.4" W x 3.6" H (8.6 cm x 9.1 cm); size of wrist openings: 2.625" Diameter (6.7 cm); quality of silver: 99%; total weight: 1104.5 grams.
