Description:

Pre-Columbian, ca. 900 to 1000 CE. This is a trio of small pottery objects that are from Peru North coast. The first is an ocarina in a shape that some have interpreted as avian, and others have interpreted as being the legs and feet of a human body -- what will you think it is? The second is a black ware tripod miniature bowl. The third is a pottery fragment with the snarling face of a jaguar. Size of largest: 4-1/2" H x 4-1/2" L x 2-1/2" W (11.4 cm x 11.4 cm x 6.4 cm).

Provenance: Ex-Leonard Collection, Virginia, USA, acquired before 1979
