North America, Paleo Indian/Early Archaic period, ca. 9000 to 5000 BCE (11000 to 7000 BP). A trio of beautiful creamy-yellow chert projectile points, all sizable and all from some of the earliest periods of settlement in that region of North America. First, a Hardin Point, with a triangular expanding stem, a long body, and a barbed shoulder. Second, a Beaver Lake point, with characteristic lanceolate unfluted form, the blade with flaring auricles on the stem base. Finally, a Dalton point, an auriculate point with a constricted waist and auricles. Size of largest (Missouri Beaver Lake): 1.6" W x 3.95" H (4.1 cm x 10 cm); size of Riker's case: 0.75" L x 12.25" W x 8.25" H (1.9 cm x 31.1 cm x 21 cm)
