Description:

East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, later period, ca. 19th century CE. A trio of delightful snuff bottles, all made to fit comfortably in the hand and hold tobacco. Two are painted enamel, with squat forms and hemispherical glass lids atop tiny corks. The third is also painted enamel with silver inlay, a silver bird applique, and silver caps on top and bottom. This one has an elongated form and is capped by a tall wooden lid. Size of largest: 3.25" H (8.3 cm)

Provenance: private Colorado, USA collection acquired through descent in 2019; ex-private Texas, USA collection, acquired in Asia in the 1990s
