Cyprus, Middle Bronze Age, Ca 1900 to 1650 BCE. Two desirable and early vessels from this cultural revolving door. First, red polished pitcher with cutaway beak and long thin spout - a portion now missing. Along with a "tankard" in red slipped pottery with high arching handle, bulbous base and small node on front of vessel. For similar example, see Harvard Semitic Museum, Cesnola Collection, inventory number 1995.10.640. Size: 7.25"W x 4.25"H (18.42 W x 10.80 H cm) Provenance: Ex-Collection of William Dale.
