Most are from the Jama Coaque culture of the Pacific coast of Ecuador, known for its pottery, especially large, highly adorned, mold-made human figures of elite status donning grand helmets, ear and nose ornaments, and pendant necklaces. The group also includes one Jama Coaque jaguar as well as a striking Teotihuacan piece with its characteristically stylized geometric features.
