Description:

Roman, late Imperial Period, ca. 4th to 5th century CE. A lovely mold-formed bottle made from semi-translucent, yellow-green glass. The vessel is defined by a flat base and rough pontil scar, a cylindrical body boasting dozens of pattern-molded ribs, a rounded shoulder tapering to a squat neck, and a compressed rim with a flared lip. Though weathering film shrouds most of the exterior surfaces, the vessel's vibrant spring hue is accentuated by scattered areas of silver and rainbow-hued iridescence. Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 2.25" W x 4.375" H (5.7 cm x 11.1 cm).
