Northern Europe, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 8th to 11th century CE. A beautiful Viking ring of a thick composition and made from high-grade silver, with a wide band and rounded peripheries. The exterior surface of the band is decorated with seventeen stamped triangles, each oriented in an alternating direction and with six raised interior nubbins. This fine example of Viking jewelry would have signified the wealth of its owner, and likely would have been buried along with the owner upon their death. A wearable example of fashionable Viking jewelry! Size: 0.9" Diameter (2.3 cm); width of band: 0.3" W (0.8 cm); silver quality: 99%; total weight: 13.5 grams; US ring size 11.
