Ancient Rome, ca. 1st century CE. Of an unusually wide, shallow form and boasting an impressive diameter, a free-blown translucent green glass bowl with an everted, tooled rim, a tubular pushed-in foot, the floor of which displays a pronounced conical kick, and a pontil mark on the underside. In addition to the remarkable form and scale of this piece, the glass with its soft green translucency and areas of silver and rainbow iridescence is inherently beautiful. Size: 8.625" in diameter x 2.625" H (21.9 cm x 6.7 cm)
