Description:

Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Jalisco, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A hand-built pottery male figure of sizable form who stands nude atop delineated legs. The thick arms are dotted with raised cicatrices on the shoulders while the curved right arm holds a petite ball or sphere in front of the slightly concave chest. The enlarged head features generously lidded eyes, a prominent nose adorned with a septum ring, bared teeth, and cupped ears embellished with earrings, all beneath a minimalist cap that rests high on the forehead. Size: 6" L x 11" W x 21.375" H (15.2 cm x 27.9 cm x 54.3 cm)
