Ancient Near East, Iran, Tepe Siaulk (Sialk) culture, ca. 9th to 8th century BCE. A hand-built greyware pouring vessel with a flat base, a bulbous body, a petite rim with a small loop handle, and a slender, beak-shaped spout. The shoulder is decorated with a trio of incised rope bands as well as small grooves along the areas in-between. Size: 8.6" W x 8.25" H (21.8 cm x 21 cm).
