Description:

Ancient Seas, ca. 2 million years ago. A lustrous megalodon tooth with grey and brown striations on the enamel and root area due to the process of fossilization. The enamel is polished, revealing a solid layer of black beneath the creamy grey surface. Megalodons were among the largest predators the ocean ever saw, but their teeth are the only parts that have survived since their cartilage bodies could not fossilize. Medieval people believed that these strange teeth were moon rocks or dragon's tongues! Size: 5.43" L x 4.12" W (13.8 cm x 10.5 cm); 5.1" H (13 cm) on included custom stand.
