A superb and large gray schist carving depicting Buddha seated upon a cushioned throne, hands held in Dhyana mudra - a sign of concentration and meditation - wearing long flowing robes, face showing total serenity. He is flanked on each side by 2 attendants, two female attendants to his proper left and two male attendants to his proper right, each showing reverence. The scene is flanked by two stone capitals and band of chevrons along top. Size: 19.5" L x 8" H (49.5 cm x 20.3 cm)
